Hey everyone! I wanted to take the time to share my background before I was blessed to start up JenSwim!

I started competitive swimming at age 5 with summer league and then club at age 8 with ATEX (now PACK) in the Spring/Klein area. At age 10 I started training and competing with the Woodlands (TWST) with Joel Engel and John Vogel There I was a TAGS qualifier and finalist. My events were 200 fly, 400 IM and 1650 free. I went on to qualify Junior Nationals in those events. I was also team captain my Senior year. I also swam for Klein high school and was a state finalist all four years in the 200 IM and 500 free. I then went in to receive a scholarship and swim for the University of Arkansas as their top distance swimmer where I finaled at conference in the 400 IM and 1650 free.

My coaching experience started here in Kingwood with summer league. I was with Woodland Hills Wahoos for 3 years where we were undefeated and then one year with Greentree Gators. This then coincided with me being one of the start up coaches for NEHA along with Kim Kelley, Sara Hays, and Asa Lawrence at Kingwood Athletic Club for 3 years. While there I developed TAGS and Sectional qualifiers. I then had the opportunity to coach for BTA (Blue Tide Aquatics) where I was an assistant to the Gold/National group and lead coach for the Senior group. I developed TAGS, Sectional, Junior National and Olympic Trial qualifiers. I was also lead coach for the Typhoon, TIDALWAVE and White groups along with Beth Barber and Sara Hays where we grew and developed 150 swimmers for the team.

I was also given the opportunity to visit the Olympic Training center in Colorado where two of our athletes were invited and furthered my education with the classes they provided for coaches.

I have been a part of the swim community for 20 years and a part of the Gulf swimming community for 40 years. Now I continue to be a part of it with my business where I am still able to work with club and summer league swimmers improving stroke technique, turns, starts and race strategies. I love to be able to “pick apart” a stroke and help swimmers understand where they can improve and what goals to make in practice.

And now that I have introduced survival swim thanks to Emily Bass Endsley to my program the last 3 years I have been able to develop young children to think and respect the water and have the instinct to be safe as well as have joy in the water!
This business has been a new chapter in my life the last four years! I am honored to have been a part of so many swimmers lives as well as families and having the opportunities I have been given.

Thank you everyone for entrusting your swimmer with me I look forward to what’s to come!
